In Upper Key Stage Two, our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils take on greater responsibility as the oldest children in school. They are role models for younger pupils and are encouraged to show the very best of what Ropery Walk has to offer.
We talk a lot about showing off our RICHES values in everything we do — demonstrating Respect, Inclusion, Courage, Honesty, Empathy, and ensuring Safety for ourselves and others. These values help our pupils grow in confidence, kindness, and independence as they prepare for their transition to secondary school.
Learning in Years 5 and 6 is exciting, challenging, and purposeful. Children are encouraged to take pride in their achievements, work collaboratively, and develop a love of learning that will stay with them beyond their time at Ropery Walk.
