Archived Y1/2 Miss Fowler (2019/20)
Welcome to Year 1/2

We have 26 children in Year 1/2, 12 Year 1’s and 14 Year 2’s. Our Teaching assistant is Mrs Hornsby. Mrs Devlin takes the children on a morning.
PE
Our PE days are on a Tuesday and Thursday so please make sure your children bring their PE kit and a bottle of water. Please make sure that your child has their PE kit in school on those days clearly named to save any confusion. Their PE kit is to stay in school and they will bring it home at the end of each half term.
Home Reading
In school children will read with an adult at least 3 times a week. Please make sure that children have their reading books in school every day. Children should read their books every night at home and we encourage you to sign their reading record every time they do
Times Tables
It is also very important that your child knows their times tables as they help with almost every area of maths. They can practice at home on Times Table Rockstars.
Spellings
The children will be given spellings on a Monday and we will complete a spelling test on a Friday. Even though we complete lots of spelling activities during the week, the children are still encouraged to practise their spellings when they are at home.
