Science Knowledge Matrices Y1-6
Working scientifically matrix – Y1 – 6
Our aim is to increase the children’s knowledge and understanding of their immediate environment and the world at large. The children will be encouraged to develop scientific skills including observing, enquiring and experimenting. Studies of the local environment, animals, plants, forces and the elements will be included in this aspect of the curriculum.
We have just received the news that we have been awarded the Primary Science Quality Mark for the second time! The Primary Science Quality Mark is an award scheme to enable primary schools across the UK to evaluate, strengthen and celebrate their science provision. This programme provided us with a framework that enabled our science subject lead to develop and strengthen their leadership practice, whilst increasing the profile and quality of science within our school. Our subject leader planned for the improvement in teaching and learning across the school and the impact was evaluated.
